Laser Skin Treatments
- Treatments are individualized depending on skin types and the condition being treated. Therefore the Intensity and depth will vary according to what is being treated and to be achieved in terms of results.
- An assessment is needed to determine the best treatment plan for your skin.
1. Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment
Erbium Yag Fractional Laser
R3950 – R6950
Treatment time: 30 min – 1 Hr
Treats: Fine lines, pigmentation, skin laxity, anti-ageing, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven skin.
The Fotona Erbium Yag Fractional Laser is a powerful Laser Skin Treatment tool that uses laser energy to safely remove the outer layers of skin, stimulating the growth of new, healthy tissue. The laser works by emitting a high-energy beam of light that is absorbed by the water in your skin cells. This causes the water to heat up rapidly, which in turn vaporizes the targeted skin cells.
One of the unique features of the Fotona Erbium Yag Fractional Laser is that it can be customized to deliver laser energy at varying depths. This allows us to tailor your laser skin treatment to your specific skin concerns and the depth of resurfacing required.
Superficial laser resurfacing is ideal for treating mild skin concerns such as fine lines, uneven skin texture, and pigmentation. This treatment is less intense and requires little to no downtime. On the other hand, deeper resurfacing can address more severe skin concerns such as acne scarring, deep wrinkles, and sagging skin. This treatment penetrates deeper into the skin and requires a longer recovery time.
Regardless of the depth of resurfacing, the Fotona Erbium Yag Fractional Laser is a safe and effective way to rejuvenate your skin. Dr Barker will conduct a thorough assessment to determine the best treatment plan for you, ensuring the best possible results.
The deeper, more intense laser resurfacing is best done in winter.

4. Laser Skin Treatments
Lesions – Sun spots, Skin tags, Rough Spots, Millia, Xanthelasma
R1950 – R6950 Depending on size and quantity.
Treatment time: 15 min – 1Hr +
Er Yag Laser Skin Treatments
Sun spots and rough spots, will undergo a thorough examination before removal. If there is anything suspicious, a surgical removal will be done, and a biopsy will be sent to the lab for analysis. However, in most cases, around 99% of these benign lesions can be safely and effectively removed using the Er Yag laser.
Xanthelasma are yellowish bumps that appears on or near the eyelids due to cholesterol deposits under the skin. While they are not harmful, they can be unsightly and can affect a person’s self-confidence.
Millia, on the other hand, are tiny white cysts that develop in people of all ages. They consist mostly of dead skin cells and keratin, which become trapped in the pores and cause small, hard bumps on the skin.
Er Yag laser is an effective treatment option for these skin conditions because it can precisely target and remove the affected tissue without damaging the surrounding skin. The laser’s high-energy light is absorbed by the water in the skin, causing it to heat up and evaporate the targeted tissue.
Er Yag laser skin treatments are typically quick, safe, and comfortable. Patients may experience some mild redness or swelling after the treatment, but these side effects usually subside within a few days.
The laser’s precision also means that there is minimal scarring or damage to the surrounding skin, making it an ideal treatment option for these types of skin conditions.
“Dr Barker removed a protruding mole from my forehead with a laser which had been bothering me for some time.
Before and after pics speak for themselves but I was beyond impressed with the results.
