The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the face, making it highly susceptible to fine lines, crepiness and laxity. Because the laser does not ablate the skin surface, there is no open wound, no significant peeling and no meaningful downtime. Consultation
Dr Barker assesses the eye area, discusses your specific concerns and explains what the SMOOTH Eye treatment can and cannot address. He will advise whether combining with Botox, tear trough filler or other treatments would enhance your result.

Preparation and Eye Protection
The eye area is thoroughly cleansed. Specially designed metal eye shields are placed under the eyelids to protect the eyes completely during treatment. This is standard protocol and is well tolerated by most patients.

The Treatment
Dr Barker passes the laser handpiece across the upper and lower lid skin in a series of precise, overlapping passes. The sensation is a gentle warmth. The full treatment for both eyes takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Immediately After
The eye area will appear mildly pink or flushed. This is entirely normal and settles within a few hours. There is no swelling, no peeling and no bruising. A soothing serum is applied and you are free to leave immediately.

Results and Course
Collagen remodelling occurs progressively over 6 to 8 weeks. A course of 3 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart delivers the best long-term result. Many patients then opt for a single maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months.
